At present, there are over 67 enterprises with Japanese investment in Sri Lanka operating under the BOI regime, with an estimated investment of approximately US$ 250 million. There is also a number of small scale enterprises with Japanese investment operating under the normal laws of the country that are engaged in restaurants, apparel, tourism and travel and export trading.
